Did anyone else see this Thursday night on BBC2? I watched it with my Mum. It was a documentary presented by Esther Rantzen, exploring the world of palliative care in Britain's hospitals, and what the public, think about end of life care. I thought this was an excellent programme, and something that we all need to be aware of. Where and the way we die has got to be important to all of us, and our families and friends. Culture is this country has got it all wrong IE not talking about death and avoiding it unless absolutely necessary, which makes it more mysterious and difficult to handle.

Extrovert or introvert?
@ Tuesday, 14. Mar, 2006 – 10:04:42 pm
I have just realised after 37 years of thinking I was an introvert, that actually I am an extrovert. Well according to Dorothy Rowe's description in her book 'The successful self'.
An introvert finds their inner reality more real and an extrovert finds their external reality more real. An extroverts biggest fear is being alone for ever and introverts biggest fear is chaos and being out of control.
Are you an introvert or extravert?

My Dad
@ Sunday, 12. Mar, 2006 – 11:04:09 pm
My Dad was a very quiet, shy person but he loved me and did his best for me and the rest of our family. He was gentle, caring and kind. Now there is a big gap in our family. But he was my Father and therfore I am a part of him, and I hope I will have his good qualities in my life.

Thank you everyone ...

...for your kind words.
I was staying with my Mum until Sunday night. It was very difficult to come home and leave her alone for the first time. She has never lived alone before and only ever slept with out my Dad one or two nights here and there. She does have lots of kind friends though which makes me feel better. I really feel a need to protect her and look after her now.
