  • Period time.

Yes, it's that time of the month and I'm feeling antisocial. I have some things I want to write about but feel like I can't be bothered at the moment. I'm also feeling allergic to sugar at the moment (I hope I'm not getting diabetes) I have a sweet taste in my mouth and any sweet food makes me feel ill! I've stopped eating cereal for breakfast and I'm eating cheese and boiled eggs instead.

  • Facebook

I've just joined. It seems really cool! So if I'm not here that is where I'll be. I will try to do both though.

  • Hello, I'm back.

Had a wet holiday, but thankfully not as muddy as Glastonbury. The best part was a visit to The Eden Project. Now I'm back and busy. Right now, as I write, I'm waiting in queue to speak to someone at BT

  • Goodbye

I'm off to Devon for the week with no computer access. I'll be back.

  • What is wrong with me?

I sometimes feel like a vital piece of my brain must be missing, or I must have a slight learning difficulty, as I seem to make such stupid mistakes, which end up making me feel bad, embarrase and making life more difficlut for others, which really don't want to do. Sometime I'm forgetful and clumsy and bahave as though I'm really thick, which I don't belive I am. Luckily I work with a really great bunch of people and they are really nice to me even when us mess up. I happy that I'm going away next week, maybe I can start again when I come back.

  • Water Directed by Deepa Mehta.

It's an Indian film I saw tonight:

    waterpiccy

Set in the 1930s in the Indian holy city of Varanasi, the film examines the plight of a group of widows forced into poverty at a temple, and in particular the beautiful, headstrong Kalyani (Ray), who is unwilling to accept the harsh restrictions imposed by Indian society on widows, and her relationship with a man from a lower caste, a follower of Mahatma Gandhi. The shooting of Water was interrupted for four years following enormous protests from Hindu fundamentalists. Offering a serious comment on the crushing of women by atrophied religious and social dogmas but retaining a profound sense of humanism, the ensemble acting of the women in the widows’ hostel is exceptional.

It was a very good film, but left me feeling angry and frustraited with the terrible things that go on in the world.

  • Change

I thought I would change the look of my blog a bit. I'm not sure I like it. I want to change the colour of the boarder, but I would have to pay to do that. It looks a bit brigher anyway.

  • Why balls?

Why do we call testicles balls? They are more like eggs, hard boiled as well. I suppose they are a bit like a rugby ball type shape.

  • Clothes labels

Why do clothes have such scratchy, uncomfortable labels? I like to cut them out, but usually forget when I get a new item of clothing and walk around all day with an itchy, scratching feeling on the top of my back or the top of my bum (if it is trousers). I would have thought clothes manufacturers could find a softer material for labels. Does anyone else have the same problem?

  • Numptiness - inspired by dontknowwhy

    Some dumb things Ive done:

Asked an older woman with a bloated belly if she was pregnant (I was feeling very stressed at the time because of exams)

Put diesel in my petrol car after I'd owned it for 4 years!

Invited the bloke I fancied to my flat where I lived with my female partner.

Years ago my BF showed me a model car he had just painted and I dropped it on the carpet so it got covered with fluff etc

Visited a friends new flat and spilt my drink on her nice new table cloth.

I left the gas ring on, came in with a box and put it on the cooker where it caught light and filled the kitchen with smoke.

When I was little I pooed in the bath, (only a little poo) even worse I was sharing the bath with my sister who was disgusted.

  • Quiz: What's Your Spiritual Type?

"What's your religion?" It used to be such a simple question to answer. But now you might be "spiritual but not religious"--or raised in one faith but practicing another. Maybe you're a Methodist but think of yourself more as an evangelical, or a seeker who is anti-religion--or born again. The old categories don't seem to work because the religious landscape has changed so much. The quiz is meant to help you learn about your self, see how you compare with others, and have a little fun.

My result was: Spiritual Straddler – One foot in traditional religion, one foot in free-form spirituality

    Take the quiz here: http://www.beliefnet.com/section/quiz/index.asp?sectionID=&surveyID=27

I found this quite difficult as I was temped to give the 'correct' christian answers, sometimes it's difficult to know what you really believe when you've listened for so long, to others telling you what to believe, or what 'the truth' is.

  • E-mail boobs!

Have you ever hit reply instead of forward, and not realised until the message is sent? I have! So far it hasn't got me into trouble. But it really could. I need to be more careful.

  • Facial hair - what a pain!!!!

I don't have the guts to keep my facial hair, as I do with my arm pit hair. So I have shave my chin every morning, just like a bloke!?!! I don't have a choice like a bloke, if they feel like growing stubble, no-one looks twice. I also have to bleach my moustache, and as I get older it seemed to come back quicker!! So I'm sitting here in my room with cream bleach over my top lip! It's like a never ending battle against hair.

  • Where in the world ?

Places I have visited. I found this on PrincessFiona's blog.

  • A quiet afternoon

I'm the only person in the office this afternoon, and I'm not all that busy, so decided to pay a quick visit to blogland.

What happen to the sun from the weekend? This weather is too wierd. OK I'm too bored to think of something interesting to say! Better get back to work - updating software on my computer. See ya!
